Singer Rihanna’s London home has been put up for sale for $41 million. The musician has been renting out the house for more than $23,000 a week since 2018.
The house is found in St. John’s Wood, north London, which is home to celebrities like Paul McCartney of the Beatles, Harry Potter actress Emma Watson and Gal Gadot from Wonder Woman.
The 19th century building is almost 600 square meters in size. Inside, there are eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a gym, a cinema room and an elevator to get between the five floors. Outside, there’s a large garden and space for 10 cars.
Michael Sulkin, director at Aston Chase, one of the real estate agents selling the house, told CNN that Rihanna liked how private the house was. “She was there for quite a long time — I don’t think most people even knew she was living there,” he said.
The house is being sold with all of its furniture. Jeremy Gee, managing director of Beauchamp Estates, told The Times that there might be some rich Rihanna fans who would like to own the house she lived in, plus the furniture she used. “It is the ultimate piece of Rihanna memorabilia,” he said.
Another celebrity home that’s up for sale is former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal’s house in Florida. The 2,900-square-meter house includes 12 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms and an indoor basketball court. It’s up for sale for $19.5 million, $8.5 million less than O’Neal tried to sell it for in 2018. He bought it for less than $4 million in 1993.
